Square Enix Releases Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade

New Episode Features Yuffie as a Playable Character

Square Enix has released Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade, an expanded and enhanced version of the critically acclaimed Final Fantasy VII Remake.

The new episode, titled "Episode INTERmission," features fan-favorite character Yuffie Kisaragi as a playable character. The episode follows Yuffie and her partner Sonon Kusakabe as they infiltrate Midgar to steal the Shinra Electric Power Company's ultimate materia.

In addition to the new episode, Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade also includes a number of other improvements and additions, such as:

  • Graphics enhancements for the PlayStation 5, including 4K resolution and 60fps gameplay.
  • A new difficulty mode called "Hard Mode."
  • A new Photo Mode.
  • A new soundtrack arrangement by Masashi Hamauzu.

Yuffie's Playstyle

Yuffie is a fast and agile fighter who uses a variety of ninja techniques in combat. Her signature weapon is the shuriken, which she can throw at enemies from a distance or use in close-quarters combat. She can also use her chakrams to perform powerful melee attacks.

Yuffie's Limit Break is called "Windmill," which unleashes a flurry of shuriken attacks on all enemies within range.

Episode INTERmission Story

Episode INTERmission takes place during the events of Final Fantasy VII Remake, but from Yuffie's perspective.

The episode begins with Yuffie and Sonon infiltrating Midgar to steal the Shinra Electric Power Company's ultimate materia. However, their mission is soon complicated by the arrival of the Turks, Shinra's elite special forces unit.

Yuffie and Sonon must fight their way through the Turks and other Shinra forces in order to complete their mission and escape from Midgar.
